RACE FOR 7: BANGALORE WALKS FOR RARE DISEASES ~ Raising Awareness for Rare Diseases Rare Disease Policies for Rare Disease patients ~ Bengaluru, February 25th, 2018 : Lending their collective voice to the rare disease community in India, an enthusiastic 3500+ participants, including 40 rare disease patients and their caregivers, took part in Race for 7 in Bengaluru and were joined by another 1500+ in Mumbai. Race for 7 is an awareness walk/run organized by the Organization for Rare Diseases (ORDI), an NGO committed to addressing the challenges faced by those living with rare diseases. The objective of Race for 7 is to raise awareness for the 7000 documented rare diseases and the estimated 70 million patients in India suffering from a rare disease. ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಮಹಾಪೌರರು 31/12/2017 ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 6-30 ರ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌರ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಮತ.ಗಂಗಮ್ಮರವರೆಗೆ ರಸ್ತೆ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟಿಎಂ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ವಾಡ್೯-176 ರಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಟರ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಹತ್ತಿರ, ಜಯದೇವ ಹೃದ್ರೋಗ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ಹತ್ತಿರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಟೆಂಪೋ ವಾಹನವು ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದು ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದ, ಸದರಿ ಪೌರ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಂತರ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಮಹಾಪೌರರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಸದರಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.ತದನಂತರ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಮಹಾಪೌರರು ಬಿಟಿಎಂ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ. ಸಾಯಿ ರಾಮ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ, ಬನ್ನೇರುಘಟ್ಟ ರಸ್ತೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಖುದ್ದು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ.ಗಂಗಮ್ಮ ರವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾಲಿನ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಮದ ಭಾಗವು ಗಾಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲದೇ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲು ವೈದ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದಲ್ಲದೇ, ವಿಶೇಷ ವಾಡ್೯ಗೆ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿ ತುರ್ತು ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಯನ್ನು ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ವೈದ್ಯಾಧೀಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯ ವೆಚ್ಚವನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಭರಿಸಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
