Karnataka edition of Mrs. India – I am Powerful

MRS. MONICA RAJ WINS THE KARNATAKA EDITION OF MRS. INDIAI AM POWERFUL


Amidst glitz and glamour, the Karnataka edition of Mrs. India – I am Powerful successfully concluded in Bengaluru on 10th March 2018, at The Zuri Hotel, Whitefield.  The chosen finalists from Karnataka displayed their skills and abilities as they wowed the audiences and judges, reaffirming the fact that age and marital status is no barrier for a woman to showcase her talent.  After a series of competitive levels, MRS. MONICA RAJ was chosen as the winner, followed by Mrs. Rekha Reddy and Mrs. Nora Rashmi who was declared First and Second Runners-uprespectively. MRS. MONICA RAJ will now progress to take part in the grand finale, which will be held in Goa at a later date.  The penultimate winner will then qualify and stand a chance to represent the country at international level.

The star-studded event was graced by renowned artists and celebrities.  Noted celebrities from Sandalwood included Mr. Chandan Gowda, Ms. Spurthi Vishwas, Mr.Ajit Jayaraj, Ms. Bynathi Sunil were present for the event.

The one of its kind pageant celebrates the power of womanhood and raises the voice for women empowerment.  Apart from the glamour on display, the event also raised some important issues concerning women.  To showcase the power of inner beauty, acid attack victims walked the ramp, inspiring hope and confidence.  Heart-warming stories were shared by the victims, which was organized by Pragya of Atijeevan Foundation.  The event also witnessed the launch of Khadi by all celebrities involved.

Nandini Nagaraj, Organiser & Regional Director, Karnataka for Mrs. India – I am Powerful was delighted at the success of the event as she expressed her excitement quoting, “Looking at the massive response we got during the audition, we had an intuition that Karnataka’s edition would add strength to the event, which has already become a phenomenon across the country.  The unique thing about the pageant is it allows women aged between 22 to 55 years and any women who are married, divorced, with or without kids can participate and make it a platform to express their potential and realize their dreams.  The event proved the fact that there are many hidden talents, which need the initiative to come to the forefront, and I am glad our event was one such initiative.”


Like other state editions, the finalists from Karnataka underwent a series of grooming sessions, confidence boosters, hair and skin consultations under the watchful guidance of Ms. Nandini Nagaraj, who herself is a successful model, actress, and a film producer.  The pageant is conceptualized by Jaz Preet, winner of Mrs. Asia International – India's Charming Face.  Ever since its inception, the event has caught the attention of media, especially on digital platforms and has received an overwhelming response.
